A native of Alabama, Pastor Drew has dedicated his life to serving God and his ministry. He and wife Susan have five children, Meagan, Maleah, Micah and twins Morgan and Meredith. Pastor Drew started out with a background in journalism, working at his local paper at the age of 16, later as a sports writer at the University of Alabama.

He was pastor for 14 years at First Baptist Church in Shelbyville but resigned and took a year off, away from full-time vocational ministry. During that year, many people were praying that he would come back and start a new church.

On Sept.12th, 2004 those prayers were answered when The Peoples Church held their first service. That service was held at the Chamber of Commerce with 75 people attending. In August of 2006 The People's Church began holding services at a second location in Tullahoma. In three years there has been over 2,500 persons attending at least once between both locations.

The PeoplesChurch and Pastor Hayes are focused on reaching the needs of the community and providing ministries and services that impact every area of life. There is a new generation rising at The Peoples Church, a generation without limits. Pastor Drew is a proven leader for this generation, a generation that believesall things are possible!!!
